In the queen’s chamber, dark and grand,
A magic mirror on a stand.
Its surface clear, its truth profound,
A voice within without a sound.
“Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all?”
Each day the queen would ask anew,
Hoping her beauty still held true.
But the mirror, with its power great,
Would speak the truth, it would not wait.
“Snow White is the fairest, queen,
Her beauty like none ever seen.”
The queen’s heart filled with dread,
At the words the mirror said.
Her jealousy grew deep and wide,
Her anger something she could not hide.
She vowed that Snow White must depart,
From her kingdom, from her heart.
The mirror watched with silent eyes,
As the queen wove her cruel lies.
