Once upon a time, on a chilly winter evening, Santa Claus was getting ready for his big Christmas gift delivery. The elves were buzzing around, packing presents, polishing the sleigh, and feeding the reindeer. Everything was perfectly prepared… except for one tiny problem: Santa couldn’t find his pants!
Santa was putting on his red coat when he realized something was missing.
“Where are my pants?” Santa exclaimed. “I can’t go out without them!”
The elves searched everywhere: in the closet, by the fireplace, and even in the reindeer stable. But the pants were nowhere to be found. That’s when a mischievous elf named Jingle bounced up to Santa with a big grin.
“Santa, why don’t you wear your red polka-dotted pajamas instead?” Jingle giggled. “They’re red, and they’ll keep you warm!”
Santa laughed and slipped on the pajamas. All the elves burst into laughter because Santa now looked like a giant red polka-dotted ball.
“Jingle, this won’t work!” Santa chuckled. “I can’t go visit the kids like this!”
“How about using the reindeer blanket?” suggested another elf. “At least it’s cozy!”
Santa wrapped himself in the fluffy reindeer blanket. But as soon as he took a step, he tripped and nearly fell over.
“This won’t do either!” Santa sighed. “I can’t fly like this!”
Just then, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer stepped forward and said:
“Santa, maybe you left your pants in the last place you took them off. Check the laundry room!”
Santa thought for a moment.
“Hmmm, you might be right, Rudolph. Maybe I left them in the laundry room!”
Santa rushed downstairs to the laundry room, and there, hanging on the drying line, were his red pants! He had forgotten them in all the rush of getting ready.
“I found them!” Santa cheered.
All the elves clapped and cheered because now everything was finally set. Santa quickly put on his pants, grabbed his gift sack, and hopped into the sleigh.
“Thank you for helping me, my dear elves and reindeer!” Santa said. “This is a story I’ll be telling every year!”
As the sleigh soared high into the sky, Santa laughed out loud:
“Ho-ho-ho! I almost went out to deliver gifts without my pants!”
That night, every child received their presents, and everyone could hear Santa’s joyful laughter echoing across the starry sky.
